Wisconsin will soon award $125 million in grants to expand broadband internet across the state.
It marks the largest grant distribution for broadband expansion since the state began awarding funds. https://t.co/vp5zoPcbHF
@MikeBradleyMKE Maybe I’m out of the loop, but I’ve never seen Dunkin as some kind of conservative-aligned brand.
It’s mostly New Englanders just obsessing about it
We ~really~ need to end performative obstructionism that comes at the cost of working class people and solutions to the many problems this country has.
@DanielJCruz @jaredcacciatore Yeah, there are upsides and downsides. Fortunately our public utilities/state have been quick to implement solar at scale recently. This is just one provider:

@StinaDale@DanRShafer Agreed! The state has regional "campuses" but they're essentially just old state buildings for teams from various agencies to work from.
Would like to see it modernized and specialized. Why isn't there a DNR hub at UWSP, or DHS at UWO, DOT at UWM, so on..?
@BoldCoastCap@DanRShafer The state has already done this with certain sections of workforce development. They are, for all intensive purposes, strategic campuses.
You wouldn't need to consolidate because you can overlap costs of existing assets and improve them.
This is an important perspective. Most progress and technological innovation stems from addressing simple problems we knew how to solve a long time ago: public health, community support, education and opportunity.
We don't lack capital or capacity. What we lack is resolve.
"What if humans invented a technology to save the planet, and then just refused to use it?"
This isn't a riddle. It's reality. From COVID vaccines to nuclear power, Americans keep failing to implement or deploy world-saving inventions. I wrote about why:

This is a big deal! I've been a huge supporter of this program since it started. Glad to see that Governor Evers is putting even more support towards Main Street.
Today, I announced we're investing an additional $25 million into our Main Street Bounceback Grant Program to enable 2,500 more small businesses and nonprofits to fill empty storefronts throughout Wisconsin—bringing our total investment to $75 million.
