We did it, Montana.
I couldn’t have done it without each of you who gave your time, talked to neighbors, and pitched in. What we built belongs to all of us. This is about the fight for working Montanans and now we take it on to November.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
I’ve known Sam his entire life. I have always been so proud of my nephew’s courage. He’s spent his career running towards fires to protect his community. That’s exactly the type of fighter Western Montana deserves now.
Go get ‘em, Sam! 🔥
.@RainsforMT real disappointing you’re coming after me for Bernie Sanders’ support. If you spent more time in MT-01, you’d know folks in western MT are ready for the big changes we need on housing, healthcare, and childcare by asking the richest to carry their weight #mtpol
"Weather is not a firefighting tactic" @SamForstag . Sage words from a former smokejumper tonight at Great Burn. Looking forward to voting for him in the primaries.

Ryan Zinke just announced he’s not running for re-election. He saw what was coming and it was all of us. That’s good news for Montana and for the country.
See, Ryan dropping out puts us one step closer to winning real representation for working people in Montana.
two months ago, Sheehy told the @MeatEater crew that Rs weren't moving to sell off federal lands, that public land sales are "a red line" and "nonstarter" for the MT delegation, that they'd set a "dangerous precedent"
now he's "pleased" other states will bear the brunt all this
Surely this is the issue that will bring the parties together. Highway driving at night in Montana has become intolerable thanks to the retina-burners on the front of every other truck #mtpol
Car headlights have gotten absurdly bright – roughly doubling in recent years – and it's dangerous for others on the road.
I encouraged the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to look into setting better maximum brightness standards in their upcoming infrastructure bill.
Local TV reporting tonight on the funding Jon Tester has secured for Montana law enforcement:
"The funding Tester has secured for these agencies has come through several votes ... In Roosevelt County, the ad stated that Tester secured $1.8M. Here's a breakdown" #mtpol#mtsen
i'm told these pro-public land mailers are landing in Montana voters' mailboxes
look closely and you'll notice Sheehy is wearing a PERC shirt
PERC is the nonprofit that Sheehy failed to disclose his board post at & that has a history of advocating for privatizing public lands
@MTHouseGOP There's a definition for elector right in the MT Constitution. Doesn't say a thing about active or not. Here, I pulled it up to save you some time. #mtpol
SOS' own guidance for election administrators directs counties to accept signatures of inactive electors because they are still legally registered. It's on their website! #mtpol
