@JoshClaibourn Seems like this amend will only allow CredCom to disfellow churches with women senior pastors, like the ones we disfellowed the last few years. But those type of churches are only a small percentage of the churches identified by Mike Law. The rest will remain in good standing.

@JoshClaibourn I think we are both in opposition to the new revision, but I’m not claiming the amendment creates egalitarian loophole opportunities. I believe this amendment will officially reframe our understanding of the BFM toward egalitarianism.

@JoshClaibourn This will not only be a cred com issue. This will alter the theological practice of many of our moderate churches. They will be happy to label anyone a pastor so long as that “pastor” doesn’t preach. This amendment will change the widely accepted understanding of the BFM.
