These are very interesting questions, Mr Byaruhanga.

If Mr @JoelSsenyonyi represents a party that complains about the President’s excessive expenses on transport, how can he in good faith sit by and watch a budget that allocates one guy 1.4 Billion shillings for foreign travel get passed in his favor? Ditto buying bedsheets and boxers for a person earning more than 50 times what an average Ugandan earns.

If he can’t reject such largesse while in opposition, will he reject a $5,000 a day allowances-like @AnitahAmong had-when he’s in government?

Also, I’m not sure you understand how budgeting works but there’s little chance that these budgets are agreed upon without the input of the user entity.

His office must have made those requests.

But nonetheless, let Mr Ssenyonyi come out and tell us how much of that money he actually got and how he spent it. He has the media platforms and you his ex media colleagues to amplify his message.

Burry us anti-public waste campaigners in shame. Just shame us with clear, crisp accountability.

Also, this is good for him coz while today the masses are cheering for state action against AAA based off of obscene figures shared online, tomorrow, they can use the very same tactics against him and his people. Why not get ahead of that by showing y’all are clean?
