The NHL's Department of Player Safety tells ESPN there will be no discipline on Tkachuk: "Both hits delivered on Kassian were legal, full body checks delivered to a player carrying the puck." Kassian will have a hearing Monday for Roughing/Aggressor in going after Tkachuk.
@jeffpalmer16@Lexx_Horan@Sportsnet@NHLFlames Sorry you think the hit in this video is not clean? No point of contact to head, no charge, not from behind, not in the air, no crosscheck. Where is this dirty?
@jeffpalmer16@Lexx_Horan@Sportsnet@NHLFlames I hear ya with him trying this stuff over his career but come on....that’s a clean hit so I don’t get it. Mcdavid goes right through the numbers and I’m sure nothing will be said, end of the day he doesn’t wanna fight. Kassian is a big and physical guy, find a place to get even
@jeffpalmer16@Lexx_Horan@Sportsnet@NHLFlames Buddy, when I’m that video did he even give him a chance to throw (not that he should, being 10x the player kassian will ever be) but come on. That hits clean, maybe one to many steps but Kassian has done the same. Guy got blown up, simple as that
@TommyChilfigerr @Sportsnet@NHLFlames Guy takes two strides and blows a guy up then keeps playing and is jumped, anyone whose ever played above Peewee 5 knows that’s on Kassian and even McDavid in this one going after him from behind. Doesn’t even get a chance to square up
@WarnkeKim @akarndt@EWoolleyWard8 I think that’s a little misguided though, we have consistently been ranked in the top 5 globally for cities to reside in.
