I had expected a slightly more happier ending while instead, I feel like I've been left with a feeling of dread. The somber fast decline of happiness compared to the slower days made me feel depressed and almost hopeless.

One thing I didn't expect was for there to actually be cheating though. I thought it would stay as a something the mom was wrong about. Or I hoped it did. Glad to know even this apocalypse shows different types of morals in people.

I enjoy that Julia is finally hitting her own stride by becoming just a bit rebellious. We see that lying is something she is picking up from the world she's in now but there are good lies to tell while devious ones. I hope she carries white lies #itstheendoftheworldasweknowit255

The book ended more hopeful than I imagined it would. Maybe hope living on is what makes people continue down the road. The father coming to terms that he couldn't hold his dead son was also a sad but powerful moment. #itstheendoftheworldasweknowit255

One Second After has strong potential for the book but so far it seems to be held down by a big info dump near the beginning for me. Also the main character noticing how attractive the women on introduction of them is just weird?? #itstheendoftheworldasweknowit255

If it were the end of days I think I would miss the calm of what we have now the most. Somedays are crazy or wild, but nothing beats being able to able to talk or joke about it with friends over the phone or in person. #itstheendoftheworldasweknowit255
