@MattBakerSTL This seems like such a failure of a transfer window - I know this FO is tight lipped but no backup plan after Cuypers? Weโve had 7 months to find a striker and it seems as if thereโs been one option (questionable on how realistic it even was)
@j_clem@MattBakerSTL@BallWatchingSTL@ChatCityTactics My issue is less with the players in the slots and more with how we utilize them. Given you have 6 DP/U22 spots you need to swing for the fences instead of getting minor salary relief on the cap. You cant fit a $7M fee into a regular roster spot but you can on a $600k salary
@DrewYoungRadio Absolutely not - canโt wait for the fans to praise the โgood businessโ again. You cannot keep selling off your best players who have on ball quality for minimal $. Especially a team who has shown qualities to not reinvest and not have a good (or quick) succession plan
@MattBakerSTL Trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but buying a plot of land and building a house months before requesting your leave really make you question the personal reasons
@MattBakerSTL If, and a very big if, they sign a DP9 as a result of this move - it has to be a game changer and not someone who barely is above the DP threshold. Otherwise you cannot argue we are better off than a TAM9 with Hartel and Holse underneath
@RoccSTLreal Think his stats when compared to the rest of the team may be inflated simply due to him being the attacker with the most minutes played. some @soccerdatavizer numbers in passing/possession would suggest itโs not above average
