Maybe instead of being a pedant you should probably ask why Lancaster County has the highest rate of measles infections in the state because there is effectively no herd immunity due to parents not vaccinating their kids for measles. When a child gets measles they either die from the infection or recover. Thing about measles though is that it destroys the child’s immune system not to mention even though you’ve technically recovered you’re so weakened and have no immune system. So if you die from the infection or after the infection, you will have still died due to the measles. Directly or indirectly, it’s still the measles and the kids are still dead.
