@Flatline__84@barstoolsports They do, I believe judges are now unofficially scoring against takedowns/control time that results in no damage. Especially when damage is done by the other fighter within the same round. I’d score more points for fighters who get up from takedowns and do damage
@barstoolsports Perfect examples in round 5. Chimaev “lands” a takedown, Strickland gets up, they stay engaged for a bit then separate. No damage, no advancing, neutral.
@barstoolsports Chinaev’s takedowns resulted in minimal damage, landing a takedown but not advancing or doing damage should be scored as neutral. Strickland’s jab was on point, did more damage in the fight. Good decision #UFC
