They put forth a repeal to the hughes amendment-allowing us to own machine guns again- that way they can say “oh we tried hard guys but democrats and RINOs blocked it! We must vote harder!”

Not a single democrat will support either constitutional carry or repeal of hughes. And just enough republicans wont support constitutional carry, but it will be just enough for republicans to campaign on. “I support second amendment and constituonal carry, we just need to win back the house this time guys! We promise” will be what they say again.

Of course Congress is trying to make it harder for future veterans to get the benefits that they sacrificed for.

I oppose the Take Care of Americas Veterans Act and think the name is absolutely horrific and misleading as it does the opposite of what the name implies.
