God is AWESOME at being faithful.
God is AWESOME at saving lives.
God is AWESOME at building His church.
Not just good, He’s AWESOME at it.
And too often I don’t give him space to be.

@not_thepitcher@Seth_Troutt 1. Your handle gave me a good chuckle.
2. We’ve used this framework: convictions (for everyone, forever), commitments (our chosen way, like ministry philosophy, culture, etc. Varies church to church), conduct (preferences that can and will change, even within our church)
“the Witch knew the Deep Magic, but there is a magic deeper still which she did not know. Her knowledge goes back only to the dawn of time. But if she could have looked a little further back, into the stillness and the darkness before Time dawned, she would have read there a different incantation. She would have known that when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor’s stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
Every ounce of Christian suffering will be compensated for with millions of years of rest, and still more besides. This suffering will be merely a blip on the radar of an eternity of peace, a grain of sand compared to the global beaches of God’s comfort in the world to come.
Fascinating insight from Joe Mazzulla into his mindset on @PardonMyTake. Says he never uses revolving doors, studies the exits of every room he’s in, and uses watching cartoons with his kids as a chance to teach them lessons:
“How can I win every situation or environment?”
@MattSmethurst To be fair to the parent (as a YP), is there not a difference in capability? Parents are the primary discipler in the home and CAN do it, and student ministry just additive. Whereas sports or theater, they likely have little to nothing to offer their teen.
