I’ve spent the last 12-14 hours just trying to process the loss of Kyle Busch! I know Kyle didn’t agree with me on a number of things but I truly hope he knew how much I respected him and his ability to drive a race car! Kyle loved NASCAR, The #NASCAR Fans and His Family! I’m confident that no one can fill the void of not having “Rowdy Busch” on the track! Our Thoughts & Prayers Are With His Entire Family & Rowdy Nation!
.@dennyhamlin speaks out on the death of NASCAR champion and former longtime teammate Kyle Busch: “To me, personally, I feel like he's the most talented gifted and talented race car driver that ever stepped in a car.”
Kyle & I stood around talking @ the track a few years ago about racing, & what the future looks for him & his son. He was proud of Brexton & watching him grow into a successful racer and young man. Prayers for Samantha, Kurt, his kids, his parents and everybody hurting tonight.
We are heartbroken to hear the news of the passing of Kyle Busch.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing, and the entire motorsports community.
In remembrance of @KyleBusch
Statement from Mike Tatoian, President & GM: "Our team at Dover Motor Speedway extends our deepest condolences to Samantha, Brexton, Lennix, and the entire Busch family. Words cannot accurately express our sadness upon hearing the horrible news of his passing. Kyle was one of the fiercest competitors our sport has ever seen, and his impact on NASCAR is immeasurable. His success at Dover Motor Speedway speaks to the incredible talent, toughness, and determination he brought every time he took to the track. He will forever be part of the history of The Monster Mile."
"The shocking news of Kyle’s passing is devastating to me, and to everyone at Chevrolet and General Motors. Our hearts go out to Samantha, their children Brexton and Lennix and the Busch family, everyone at RCR, Kyle’s legions of fans and all of Rowdy Nation. He was a fierce competitor who found success both as a driver and team owner, as well as a generous benefactor to countless families with the Bundle of Joy Fund he founded with Samantha. On top of all that, he found time to be a true friend to us all."
-Mark Reuss, President, GM
