Christian. Academic. Proud father and husband. Sarcastic & witty. I think people should talk more about religion and politics and learn through civil dialogue.
A little about me: I am first and foremost a Christian, husband, and father - after that an academic, minister, teacher, digital native, and storyteller.
I hold degrees in Bible (FHU), a Masters in Religion (Harvard), and two postgraduate certifications - one in Religious Studies and Education (Harvard Divinity and Extension), and the other in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge. I am currently working on a PhD in Romantic Theology (think CS Lewis - religion through literature).
I work full-time as a Campus Minister and love working and teaching students on a major campus (Go Bucks!). I grew up in Florence, Italy (16 years of my life) and also lived two years in Wuhan, China (ever heard of it?), and Athens, Greece. I have traveled to over 40 countries as a minister and missionary (both openly and clandestine), and worked in some of the most beautiful and heartbreaking lands.
I love Manchester United and Fiorentina, The Ohio State University football, and the St. Louis Cardinals. I love all sports - you'll find me talking sports a lot.
I also love to read - close to 100-150 books a year....in just about any genre.
I love great conversations about politics (independent who leans conservative 95% of the time), religion, philosophy, and culture.
God is good - drop me a note - I'd love to get to know you also!
"Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name above all names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth." - Philippians 2:9-10
"This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." - John 15:12-13
"And now he has made all of this plain to us by the appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior. He broke the power of death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the Good News." - 2 Timothy 1:10
"For this is what the high and exalted One saysโ he who lives forever, whose name is holy: 'I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.'" - Isaiah 57:15
Here's the list: "neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
