Inside a vacuum chamber: high intensity laser beams are needed to hold & manipulate ultracold atoms in vacuum. These need to be well isolated from air molecules to avoid being heated. Read more in the recent blog post by Sandra Brandstetter & Philipp Lunt: https://t.co/roVAlgK0qc
Ultracold atom experiment: a combination of magnetic fields & lasers is used to cool & trap atoms. Discover how this enabled to create the world's smallest fluid and what that teaches about emergence in the blog post by Sandra Brandstetter & Philipp Lunt: https://t.co/roVAlgKyfK
@FelixAPalm@DB_Bahn Oh krass das zerbröselte Kekse Level hatte ich noch nicht freigeschaltet. Aber die 25% Geld zurück kalkulier ich in den Fahrtpreis eigentlich schon fest mit ein 😀
The picture shows an artistic interpretation of atoms trapped in focused laser light forming a fluid of few atoms. Read more in the recent blog post by Sandra Brandstetter & Philipp Lunt: https://t.co/kTDMyeYdeq

🚨Pre-print alert🚨
Here we observe fluid behaviour in a system of only 10 strongly interacting fermions and explore its emergence from the one body limit.

As I have ignored the question for the last few days, Windows has apparently decided to directly ask the atoms by displaying the pop up on the Spatial Light modulator. (The Fourier transform of this is apparently not a very nice optical tweezer 🤔)
