@sandysdonuts Brandyn Sauer, MSU - Moorhead. IT area 2nd floor of the Library. :) Hard to top the Blueberry Bismarck. Maybe a donut with the new mint KitKat somehow incorporated.
Be careful of judging students with a yardstick of your own years.
Some behaviors may drive us crazy, but they are still age appropriate behaviors.
Be sure to model and teach behavior to support maturity. No need to shame kids for acting like kids.
“Empathy has been confused with sympathy and compassion. Empathy is not compassion, it is a very compassionate thing to do and a step towards compassion. Empathy is completely understanding where someone is coming from and being able to articulate that.” @VossNegotiation #GLS19
My friend Jean Larroux once said, “If you are not the worst sinner you know, you don’t know yourself very well.” The truth is, we tend to be very good lawyers when it comes to our own sin, but very good judges when it comes to the sins of others.
1 There are two common mistakes men make in regards to a woman's external beauty:
Undervaluing it - Beauty is a remnant of the original design of creation. It is natural to be enthralled by it (see Pr 5:9).
Jesus did not say, “Come to me and I’ll give you a to-do list; come to me and I’ll show you how to fix yourself and others.”

Your dependency on another does not determine your value.
Every human life is valuable & worth fighting for, no matter what.

Complaining is never just horizontal, every complaint has verticality to it. Embedded in complaining are questions of God’s wisdom, his nearness, his compassion, his faithfulness, his goodness and his love.
What stops us from practicing hospitality is our plenty, not our lack. We love too much of what we have. Statistics have borne out this truth: meager homes & poor churches give & gather more; wealthy homes & upscale churches horde & micromanage more. https://t.co/jxvcvl3aJt
Trust your team. The strength of your organization is not a reflection of WHAT you CONTROL. The strength of your organization is a reflection of WHO you EMPOWER. #leadershippodcast
If sin took down Samson, the strongest man, Solomon, the wisest man, and David, the man after God’s heart, then it can outsmart, overpower, and overcome you too.
Rather than always fighting temptation, consider fleeing from it. Distance yourself from any point of vulnerability. Why would you battle a temptation in the future if you have the power to eliminate it today? #Truth#QOTD
