@fosterbkay that motivated students and gained face to face far outweighs the amount of work it would require to effectively flip #RCEMT

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@fosterbkay I like to have them watch a video that poses a question and then use it as an opener for a new topic. #RCEMT

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@fosterbkay time, time, time! The rete aching of missed concepts or unmastered concepts is definitely what slows down progress #RECMT

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@fosterbkay flipped learning can support the time needed to work with manuipulatives and the Google Classroom I have set up #RCEMT

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@fosterbkay Pace! It has been encouraging to watch students learn at their pace and how flipped learning=differentiation #RECMT

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@fosterbkay I have setup a Google Classroom and posted a video or two for us to discuss the following day. Not a total flip but a start.

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@cjboys @fosterbkay then I set up a gallery walk, and students answer their peers questions.

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@cjboys @fosterbkay I love having students draw different angle relationships and then write 3 questions from their drawing.

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@fosterbkay TIME!!!!

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@fosterbkay I has students draw and color a real life example to model the Real Number System. I had some really good examples.

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@ejohnsonpc @fosterbkay change is hard :-(

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@JeffpamWalker @fosterbkay love discovery!

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@MaryLowry10 @fosterbkay it does a great job of connecting the reason the formula is divided by 3.

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@MaryLowry10 @fosterbkay I love to fill a square pyramid with colored water and show the students how it takes 3 pyramids to fill the cube.

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@fosterbkay if I had time I would definitely use more engaging hands-on activities!

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@fosterbkay honestly I feel that they are so important that I make time!

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@fosterbkay I use centimeter cubes for students to apply what makes a perfect square and what doesn't. It helps to understand square roots.

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@fosterbkay one of my favorites is using nesting baskets to apply how the real number system works.

[Brandy Peterson @Brandyp02nic]

@fosterbkay I love to use manuipulatives with everything possible!
