One of the many things our curiosity lead us to discover is that the poppy is one of the beautiful symbols that signifies Remembrance Day because poppies were said to have grown on the battlefields after WWI ended. We displayed our art at our service of Remembrance on Thursday.

Happy Halloween, everyone! The costumes around the school were amazing, hilarious, spook-tastic, and oh-so creative. All in all, our day was filled with fun!

Our giant Etch A Sketch school yard allowed for us to make our mark in the fresh morning snow. Traces of shuffling feet, truck tracks, and friendly games of tag could be seen long into our school day...only to be erased in the night for a fresh start tomorrow.

The autumn equinox was enjoyed with a walk down our beloved trail. We spent time examining the feet of the Woolly Bear, and were visited by this lovely butterfly whose spots reminded us of peacock feathers.

Folklore suggests that if the black stripes on each end of a Woolly Bear caterpillar are longer than the middle stripe, the winter will be harsh. If the center stripe is wide, the winter will be mild.
