The Brantley County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on June 24, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. at the Brantley County Commission Office, 33 Allen Road, Nahunta, Georgia.
The Board will consider a rezoning request by the Brantley County Development Authority for Parcel No. B048 108A, located on Pembers Road, Nahunta, Georgia.

The Brantley County Transfer Station will be closed Wednesday, June 10, from 9:00 A.M. β 1:00 P.M. due to a funeral service. Normal operations will resume at 1:00 P.M.

Small businesses, cooperatives, nurseries, and private nonprofits that suffered economic losses may qualify for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) up to $2,000,000. Loan amounts are based on economic injury determined by SBA, minus any insurance or other recoveries. Farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural enterprises are not eligible by law.

Important Trash Pickup Update: Ft. McIntosh to Hwy 110
Ryland Environmental is working to complete all routes impacted by fire-related delays.
Due to more trash than trucks could handle today, some areas were unable to be serviced. Crews will return tomorrow morning to finish remaining pickups. Tuesday routes will be completed early tomorrow, and Wednesday routes will run as normal.
Residents in the affected area are asked to leave their trash out for collection.

A State of Emergency has officially been declared for Brantley County as of April 22, 2026 due to the ongoing wildfire. The Brantley County Board of Commissioners and Emergency Management Agency have activated the Emergency Operations Plan to protect the health, safety, and welfare of Brantley County citizens.
