It takes on average 20 hours to prepare a sermon. 20 hours to lead and counsel. Can’t do that well with a 50 hour job and raise a family imo

@MikeWingerii Making disciples, leading a church, and family can be stressful and time consuming. I’ve seen more healthy and successful churches when pastors are well cared for. As a church planter, not having to constantly worry about money has led to a greater capacity to lead imo.
