🔥 Massive Bans in @TheSandboxGame Threaten the Player Community! 🔥

We, Brave Guild, have been active players of Sandbox for over two years, supporting the growth of PlayToEarn and contributing to the project’s ecosystem. However, recent actions by The Sandbox team raise serious concerns and undermine players’ trust in the game.

What’s Happening Right Now:

1️⃣ Massive account bans — players are losing access to even basic rewards.
2️⃣ Bans on new accounts — newcomers are being banned just minutes after starting the game.
3️⃣ Bans on long-time accounts — players who participated in events, purchased avatars and NFTs, and even owned Alpha Passes are being blocked. These accounts have supported the project for two years, yet their owners are now stripped of their rewards.
4️⃣ Issues with the SAND pool — users are struggling to withdraw funds and cannot claim earned rewards.
5️⃣ Support ignoring players — the support team provides generic responses like, “Your account is suspected of fraudulent activity”, without further details or evidence.

Why Is This Happening?

We suspect these actions are tied to the depletion of the 10 million SAND reward pool, which, based on our observations, ran out last week. This depletion seems to result from significant vulnerabilities in the reward system exploited by some users. Screenshots from private chats reveal two major issues:

1️⃣ Exploitation of basic rewards — users could claim the 20 SAND reward repeatedly on new accounts without completing KYC, creating an endless cycle of new accounts for farming rewards.
2️⃣ Alpha Pass manipulation — Alpha Passes were transferred between accounts, allowing players to claim rewards on multiple accounts. For the first 20 minutes after activation, the system didn’t verify whether the pass had already been used elsewhere.

These developer oversights drained the reward pool and triggered mass bans, unfairly affecting honest players.

Why This Matters:

Decentralization is a core principle of the crypto ecosystem. As members of The Sandbox community, we deserve transparency about the current situation. The tokens in our wallets prove our active involvement and contributions to the project.

💡 We Call for Fairness and Open Dialogue:

1️⃣ Unban legitimate players.
2️⃣ Provide public explanations for the mass bans.
3️⃣ Strengthen anti-bot measures without harming honest users.
4️⃣ If the reward pool is indeed exhausted, consider compensation for Alpha Pass holders who were banned or didn’t receive promised rewards.

Such actions would demonstrate @TheSandboxGame’s commitment to its community and restore players’ trust.

But after my deep dive into the recent season, I can confidently say:

Dear @borgetsebastien, we need your help.

We have tried everything to draw attention to the mass bans that have affected our guild. We wrote comments under every relevant post, tagged the entire @TheSandboxGame team, and even asked our guild members to share their photos to prove that we are real people—real players who have been part of Sandbox for over two years.

Out of everyone, only one person responded: community manager @Pandapops7, who kindly took the list of banned accounts from our guild and passed it on to the team. But she couldn’t do more, and sadly, we’ve received no response from the team since then.

This is not fair to us. We believe we deserve at least a dialogue. Our players, who once believed in Sandbox, are now losing faith in the project.

How is it possible that even our guild—a group that has onboarded 2,000+ players into Web3, supported the project, and believed in it for two years—can’t get the team’s attention? If we, as a united guild, can’t make our voices heard, what hope is there for individual players?

We’re not asking for the impossible. We’re asking for fairness, communication, and recognition of the fact that behind these accounts are real people who have invested their time, trust, and resources into this ecosystem.

Please, @borgetsebastien, hear us out. Our guild is part of the Sandbox story, and we want to continue building it together.

🍂 Autumn 2021 – that’s when our journey started. Inspired by the success of @AxieInfinity , we were looking for promising projects and discovered the GameFi sector. That’s how we found @TheSandboxGame and started diving deep into its mechanics, idea, and mission.

🎮 It’s not just a game – it’s a whole metaverse! We missed the first season, but while waiting for the second one, we managed to gather 434 new players in just a few days. Even when the war in Ukraine started on February 24, we didn’t stop – we successfully played through the season, helped players earn money, and invested in further development.

🤝 We created a guild and started building a community. We taught players Web3, helped them understand game mechanics and wallets, developed strategies. Our players were making money, and we donated part of it to support volunteer funds.

📉 Even when the market started crashing in summer 2022, we kept believing. We were preparing for season 3, bringing in thousands of new players, promoting the game, and expanding the metaverse.

⚠️ But now all our accounts are blocked. Over 3 years, we invested time, money, and resources into Sandbox. We brought in thousands of new players, actively supported the ecosystem, and we just want to keep doing that!

🔔 The Sandbox team has announced a review period until January 10 for addressing the bans. This is a crucial moment to make sure our guild’s case is heard. Our players continue to believe in a fair resolution, but we need the community’s help to draw attention to our story.
