@Nova__2210 Let's start with fool, loop, stool., pool, spool, I could find you a hundred others, I'm sure, but are you this insecure of your command of the English language?
We should understand the current Mideast situation from a slightly different, but parallel perspective. It is that the parallel narratives do not meet that is the source of the current crisis.
The UK & US installing a Shah to usurp Iran's oil is irrelevant to the point I am making. As abhorrent as the notion of imposing your religion on others may be, there has always been one central motivation, in their own words, "to destroy Israel." But how and how does it benefit Iran?
Iran is exploiting the mistreatment of Palestinians, particularly the refugees of previous wars and of the continuing colonization of their lands.
We have talked of the Israel as the jewel of democracy in the region. So there was, once upon a time, a two state solution. Benji didn't like that. He is a co-conspirator to Oct. 7th. His delay in responding was intended to maximize the horror. So, what is the see saw balance of innocent lives lost? Are innocent Palestinian lives worth less than those of innocent Jews?
So, what did the first Ayatollah that overthrew the Shah advocate? A ONE STATE SOLUTION! Seems Israel is either going to have to grant citizenship to the native citizens of the territories that they wish to annex or find a way to perform ethnic cleansing. Will it be genocidal-like or expulsion.
And what is the benefit for the US? All of Iran's proxies are Palestinian refugee descendants or sympathizers. Since Netanyahu doesn't want a two state solution and wants to annex remaining Palestinian territories, give him his wish. But, Israel has to grant full citizenship to the residents and current property owners of those territories.
