Today, South Africa faces Mexico.
It's funny watching some Africans rush to support Mexico because they're angry at South Africans over immigration issues. Your own country isn't at the World Cup. Some have never even qualified.
Whether you like South Africa or not, they are carrying an African flag on that pitch today. Supporting Mexico over an African team says more about you than it does about South Africa.
Africa first.
Jannik Sinner is being seen by the physio in the 3rd set against Cerundolo at Roland Garros.
He was up 5-1.
The score is now 5-4, 0-40 with Jannik serving for the match…
Jannik: “If I give time away, how does it work now? I can’t do it. I cannot wait.”
Umpire: “if you can’t wait it depends on what you have. Either you get a time violation, and after, it’s a code violation. Then otherwise we need to see with the physio what it is.”
Jannik: “I don’t know if it’s dehydration.”
Umpire: “It’s up to you. It’s either we call the physio now, they check on you, then we resume play.”
Jannik also said he felt dizzy.
He walked off court to be seen by the physio.
He’s won 1 of the last 17 points.
Unreal scenes in very hot conditions.
Hopefully he’s able to continue. ❤️🩹
Around midnight, she woke up screaming in pain.
She couldn’t stand upright. She kept holding the right side of her stomach and crying, “Mummy, it hurts… it hurts!”
Fear gripped me immediately.
I’m a single mother raising two children alone after my divorce. There was barely enough money in my account, but I didn’t care. I wrapped her in a blanket and rushed to a nearby clinic.
The nurse checked her temperature and said it might just be food poisoning. They gave her medication and asked me to monitor her.
But by dawn, things got worse.
My daughter became unusually quiet. No crying. No talking.
That scared me more than anything.
A mother knows when something is deeply wrong.
I borrowed transport money from my neighbor and rushed her to a bigger hospital.
After examining her, the doctor looked serious.
“We need to run a scan immediately,” he said.
My heart dropped.
Thirty painful minutes later, the doctor called me into his office.
“It’s appendicitis,” he said. “And it’s close to rupturing. We need surgery urgently.”
The room started spinning.
Surgery?
Urgently?
I didn’t even have enough money for hospital admission, let alone an operation.
I stepped outside, sat on a plastic chair, and broke down crying.
I prayed quietly:
“God… I’m tired. Please don’t let me bury my child.”
Just when I didn’t know what to do, my phone rang.
It was my former secondary school teacher whom I hadn’t spoken to in years.
She said she’d randomly thought about me that morning and decided to check in.
Through tears, I explained everything.
Without hesitation, she asked for the hospital details.
Less than an hour later, she arrived at the hospital herself… and paid the full deposit for my daughter’s surgery.
I couldn’t even speak.
The operation was successful.
Today, my daughter is sitting beside me, demanding biscuits and cartoons like nothing ever happened
I’m still overwhelmed.
Sometimes help comes from places you least expect.
God is real, and kindness still exists in this world.
🚨Update: President Trump did NOT eat any Chinese made food during his visit. The White House took its own chefs and its own food for President Trump to eat.
It’s far too dangerous to eat Chinese made food due to probability of poisoning and nano-tech which China might use against Trump and the US!
