The #Government announced 2 new temporary Regional #Visas for #SkilledWorkers to live outside major cities for three years before they apply for #PermanentResidency. This reflects the government’s plan to ease congestion in larger cities.

$19.4 million package announced to encourage migrants to settle in #RegionalAreas, as well as assist regional employers. Although the #government makes training and skilling #Australians a priority, this will not be enough and Australia will continue to need skilled workers.
#SouthAustralia has just announced that children of Subclass 457 and 482 #visa holders, attending public #schools in regional areas, won't have to pay any fees anymore. This goes in line with all other efforts to encourage foreign workers to settle or work in #regional SA.
