Zwei gave her one last quick squeeze before letting go, and her eyes returned to their normal half-closed state. Like nothing at all had happened.

“I… Guess it is possible for me to come first in some things, then.”

Not a thing. Second place, second child, all of it. Zwei was practically lifting Poisonous off the ground, she was so happy about it.
