LOYALTY: During the off-season, UNM safety Austin Brawley and corner Frankie Edwards III had significant interest from other schools. However, both were loyal to the Cherry & Silver and were announced quickly as "Real Ones." For non-UNM folk, that means they re-signed with UNM. Despite dealing with an injury, Brawley led the team in INTs (3), while Edwards became a regular starter towards the end of the season and was one of the team's top tacklers. Both should be favorites for some sort of MW All-Conference team this upcoming season. I’ll add in that Brawley is a sneaky candidate for MW DPOY. All photos by CPS
