We love everyone of you! Go Huskies!!
Tough loss tonight in the Semi-State Championship. Although we fell one game short of a return trip to Victory Field, I couldn’t be more proud of this group. They battled until the very last out & left it all out on the diamond. The hardest part wasn’t that we lost but that it was my last game as an assistant coach with the Huskies. This was not an easy decision because being a part of the North baseball program has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
Baseball has given me countless memories, but nothing has meant more than the relationships built with each of the players and coaches. To the players…I am grateful for the hard work, dedication, and the trust you placed in me every day. Watching you grow not only as players but as young men has been a privilege. To the coaches…I am deeply grateful for your friendship, support, and commitment to the players and the game. Through long practices, challenging seasons, and unforgettable victories, I have learned so much from each of you. Your willingness to give your time, share your knowledge, and invest in young athletes has made a lasting impact not only on the players but also on me. The camaraderie, conversations, and shared purpose we experienced together are memories I will always cherish.
The reason for this decision is simple: I want the opportunity to be there to coach and support my own boys as they begin their journey in sports. Just as I have cherished every moment spent helping our players develop, I don’t want to miss those same moments with Ellis and Everett.
Thank you for your effort, your commitment, and the memories we created together. I am proud of what we accomplished as a team. You have taught me as much as I ever taught you, and I will always be thankful for the time we shared. I will be cheering for you every step of the way, both on and off the field, celebrating your successes and believing in you through every challenge.
Keep working hard and support one another! I love all you guys!
With love & gratitude,
Coach T.O.
