@RickDaSquirrel_ @VaderTyrannus The problem is no body gives a fuck about the general as a character. Serizawa and Joe are characters with some nice depth that would’ve worked great together as the duo of the film with cutting to ford as a way to get crazy close to the action.

I personally love the change of chani’s character, as in the book chani doesn’t have much of a character.

@devoureo @azryalz @wheelerjanez I think you’re reading it wrong. I think it makes more sense to think about that the duffer brothers wanted to add a monster to the show and they needed a way to explain a monster showing up and work in a ET reference which is 11 as well as Hawkins labs

@wheelerjanez I mean not originally. In season One I’m sure the duffer brothers just had Brenner in mind to make commentary of MKUltra and the extreme lengths people went during the Cold War to win. There’s literally a scene of Brenner making 11 spy on a Russian.

@MattyGrizz @nonregemesse @Barbarinator There were actually 0 stakes, not a single main character across the shows 10 year 5 season arc dies. It takes genuinely 10 minutes to kill vecna and the mindflayer, I like stranger things but don’t act like it’s void of genuine flaws. No one even gets hurt.
