@PedlarFan@nathandg12 The example is in reply to Nath suggesting you can’t encourage responsibility without discouraging it entirely.
There’s space to encourage safe choices in life and exercise caution (with everything). I’m not sure if you have a problem with being sponsored by Carlton Draught too?
@nathandg12@PedlarFan Respectfully disagree.
Do you discourage people from going outside because of the sun can cause cancer OR
do you encourage people to go out in the sun but with sunscreen on to protect them?
Tbh this is tall poppy syndrome and you have issues with peoples success.
@PedlarFan@nathandg12 It’s not all they do to promote healthy life choices though? There’s hours of content on Dyl and Friends for people to listen to that promotes healthy life choices. The FAF podcast isn’t designed to highlight the dangers of gambling or societal issues.
@nathandg12@PedlarFan It’s not anti-gambling it’s encouraging a safer environment for people who chose to gamble.
The same as being sponsored by an alcoholic beverage but you can also encourage responsible drinking.
@ryantjansen@sam_mcclure 100% agree, that is what separates the two. However, theres always the argument that Messi hasn’t done it in Premier League, Serie A etc etc when the same could be said about Ronaldo in a WC and tbh its a lazy argument.
