As a sophomore in high school I weighed 300 pounds and could barely bench 95. I was depressed, lost, and told I’d never live out my dream of playing college football. Yesterday, I started in front of 100,000 people in one of the largest stadiums in the SEC. In this life you have two choices be a victim to your circumstance or make the most of it. There will always be people that are bigger, faster, and stronger but I promise if I can do it so can you. Keep God first, put in the work, and let the rest work itself out.

NMSU coach Tony Sanchez on what he's been telling Ryan Hawk since his missed game-tying FG against Liberty:
"It's one of those deals where you're not gonna say much to him right afterward. But today, I patted him on the butt and said, 'All right, man. You missed a kick. Flush it, onto the next one.' It is what it is. You don't go out there trying to do that. You've seen him make great kicks. Maybe the moment got a little big for him, but the next time he gets there, he'll have been there before. He just needs to take a deep breath and put it right down the middle."
Today, I completed my last chemotherapy treatment and am blessed to say that I have conquered cancer. The Lord has helped me through this difficult time and we have come out on the other side victorious. This has definitely been the hardest journey I have had to take in my entire life. Going into this, I had doubts, fear, and was really anxious on how this would affect me mentally and physically. But, fear is a choice, and I chose not to fear Cancer. Throughout the tough treatments, the times where I had no optimism, and the numerous amount of bumps in the road, God’s love for me never failed. I cannot thank the doctors and nurses at Texas Children’s and MD Anderson enough for their immense amount of help. Also, if it werent for the numerous amount of prayers, support from friends and family, and encouragement, I wouldn’t be in the situation I am now in. It feels great to say now that I HAVE BEAT THE HELL OUT OF CANCER💪
