We want to express our gratitude for the support you've shown Sammy during this challenging time. Every donation, message, and positive thought has made a difference in Sammy's spirits and his path toward recovery.

We'd like to share an update on Sammy's progress. Initially, we expected that Sammy would be able to be discharged to a rehabilitation hospital sooner, however, his hospitalization was extended due to unforeseen complications arising from his colon surgery. While Sammy has encountered some hurdles in his recovery, we want to assure you that he is okay.

Today marks a significant step forward in Sammy's journey. His condition has been closely monitored over the past two weeks while awaiting test results to determine the next steps. After 28 days in the hospital, we are pleased to share that the medical team decided that he was ready to be transferred to the rehabilitation facility we had previously planned for him.

In the rehabilitation facility Sammy has been transferred to, he will receive extensive rehabilitation and care tailored to his unique needs. Sammy is currently able to walk a short distance with the assistance of a walker, however there is still a long road ahead of him. We are hopeful that this new environment will provide Sammy with the opportunity to progress even further than he has in the hospital.

We understand that there has been a delay in providing you with updates, and for that, we apologize. The reason for this is that Sammy's condition has been evolving rapidly, and we wanted to avoid sharing inaccurate information that could cause unnecessary concern.

Sammy has been deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support from his community and team. Witnessing how many people care about him has been a tremendous source of motivation during his recovery.

Your continued support is a source of comfort and encouragement, and we look forward to sharing more positive updates as Sammy progresses on his path to recovery.
