@CNN Everyone slangs him for being a dismal businessman, always losing money... but then slang him for not paying income tax.
I really don't like Trump but you guys should get on the same page... it has to be one or the other. Income tax is a tax on income (no profit, no tax).
@RosamundUrwin Exactly why so many in their audience will applaud it.
My basic news source is @BBCWorld which currently reports UK govt decisions and then a selection of people criticising them. Extremely rare to see anyone supporting them & even then there is pressure to criticise #VivaChange
@klara_sjo Not quite on the level of Brazil in 2017 where a naked man lay down in São Paulo's Museum of Modern Art and people were allowed/expected to touch him... children too.
Art is art
@LavenderRabe Well there we have it, another case if over reaction.
Just saying it's tough for students right now but that many complaints are way exagerated.
These are not normal times... and they could be considerably worse.
@LavenderRabe Whilst admitting that the rules may cause discomfort and be unpopular, I'm pointing out that things could be a WHOLE LOT worse and that these are not normal times so, perhaps, some people are simply complaining too much.
@Sara_Rose_G Perhaps abortions should have been more popular 20 years ago (give or take), it would have saved so much heartache today.
I blame the parents.
Surely it was never this bad in the war!!
@GrunwaldSpier I'd be happier if they withheld funding for staff pay, otherwise it's payment destined for maintaining the public property in their care.
@NickBuckleyMBE Which statues? Ones which the present movement despises. But others may loathe different statues... or other works of art.
Imagine someone who works at the Louvre explaing how to cause permanent damage to, say, the Mona Lisa. Would they be lenient? I think not.
@christinalamb@mandaobserver Not going to pubs certainly helps to save money. Not visiting other rooms probably the same.
Sorry if I seem to miss the reason for their (or your) complaint.
@stephane_ulrich@nicolelampert UK left can't accept patriotism because they understand it supports the royal family and what they see as an elitest parliamentary system. They feel that with republicans in France, it's cool.
@suemcdonald342 Prince Harry is turning into the Princess Margaret of this era, a potential embarassment with every word and action.
Such a shame as he had become one of the most popular of the new royals.
@afneil Rather like an elderly aunt of mine, always spoke her mind regardless of who she was with, gaining applause for that.
However with age, she became ever more assertive and expected, nay demanded, that people continue supporting her.
She became simply abrasive.
@MarcDavenant Damn! Shud have just left the Nazis do their thing, after all better a few dead jews, etc and some fascist regimes than anything else.
Same with the Cold War... shud have left E Europe rotting under Stalin's henchmen.
Why did I never think of that?
@mandaobserver Surely, given the time available, they can all send their letters to Santa including the different address?
Remembering my mis-spent youth, the parents will miss having their kids around, the kids will delight in being away.
The Uni bar will make a fortune.
@AnthonyBoadle Obviously handouts help but I have heard so many people wanting/needing to get back to work. We were inundated with outraged cries whenever anyone stated that the economy shouldn't be allowed to stop, #LivesOverMoney , but seems not everyone agreed.
