I've been asked by 5 different people how I think this holds up as an apology.

I will try and cover all my basis.

Firstly, I'm not going to sit here and say "Sinder did nothing wrong", which I will say the same for Nano.

It was a very messy situation for everyone involved.

Unless you are, intergalactically dumb. When you make such a public post. You do it with a purpose.

When you are in Nanoless situation. You have two "frame" you can build your message around :

1) an apology to the public

2) an apology to the person in question

Funnily enough you can make it both, or either.

On the surface this reads as a decent attempt at an apology, at reaching out. And despite my own,and others, justified cynism.

Putting yourself out there, vulnerably, like Nano just did. Is, at the very least, commendable on a moral basis.

That being said. I said "on the surface".

I hope this can serve as a lesson for everyone who appreciates my walls of text.

Because this apology lacks something I see missing all the time, something that actually help make a good "apology post"

- yeah I fucked up, I'm sorry...

- that's cool and all. But what are you gonna do about it ?

Not every apology will require a grand speech. Sometimes we just make dumb mistakes. I do so myself.

But when we are talking about being responsible for derailing an entire career, such as the case here. I think it's reasonable to ask for the whole 9 yard.

So now I ask : hey Nano. I appreciate that you feel bad about what happened. But what are you gonna do about it ? Are you going to talk to some of the people involved ? Help others bury the hatchet and find forgiveness and peace ? Give sinders a free comm ? A sponsorship ? A heartfelt speaking our heart out in public collab ?

I could go on.

Forgiveness is both asked for and earned. You will have a hard time doing one without the other.

I will, myself, not hide the way I've felt about this situation for the last year or so. Something I and I've found recently many other share.

I could make a paragraph on anyone involved. But this post is about Nano. To keep it short. The screenshots and various interaction, I found, to be mind boggling. Something Nanoless never got enough flack for.

For her wildly unprofessional and cool kids club attitude toward what is essentially her job.

I don't ask people to be professional all the time. I'm not. I'm very easy going and quite expressive myself.

But when you are talking "business" please make an effort.

I don't want this long post to come of as a "dunk" on Nano.

That's not my message, my aim, my objective.

In fact I hope Nano reads this, find it useful and thinks about it for a minute.

Because I think finding enough self reflection to ask : what if I was wrong. Is more than what many, many, many VTuber artist out there are capable of mustering. Even if some would argue this apology is overdue.

This is a positive development, I'm taking note of it, and I appreciate Nano for doing it.

But for now cynicism remains on the table.

At the end of the day I can only hope everyone in this story can find peace with one another.

I know forgiveness may be too much to ask for. A lot happened.

But we can all live, thrive and tolerate eachother presence in the same space.

As long as we all behave like reasonable, professional, courteous adults.

Better late than never.. but:

Some people go public with drama, create Google Docs to put all the blame on one person, use screenshots as “proof,” and then watch as more people jump in to make the situation even bigger.

I study psychology, and whenever I see stuff like this, I shake my head.
This is about a lot of situations, not only one.
Read carefully and don’t blame someone for apologizing now.

Some have no idea how much this can destroy a person. They think they’re just “exposing” someone or ending a career, but they don’t see the human on the other side. People join the hate train without knowing what truly happened, framing someone as a monster based on fragments of a story.

It piles up. And you don’t think.

You don’t think about the sleepless nights, the anxiety attacks, the friendships lost, the opportunities shattered. You don’t think about the mental health spiral, the isolation, the suicidal thoughts that can follow.

Public call-outs aren’t just drama—they’re real people’s lives unraveling.

Before you share, before you accuse, before you contribute to someone’s public shaming——pause. Ask yourself if you truly know the whole story. Ask yourself if destroying someone is worth your moment of outrage.

Because an apology months later, no matter how heartfelt, can’t undo what was broken in the spotlight.

We have to do better.
