@StephenClinch Galway Bay, Kinnegar, Rye River all doing both glass & cans. If no one was buying bottles we wouldn’t be bottling. Also, you can’t can high carbonation beers on craft canning lines. It’s also very very difficult to can thick imperial stouts. Horses for courses.
I made a beer that tastes like a thing that doesn’t have the thing in it. The magic of Malt. Barrels. Time. Coupage. This is one of three barrel aged gems being released in a fortnight @galwaybeer 🎅🍻🔥
@TarftonClax@jokekoky@thebeernut @PintsandPanels @andrewtbyrne@PaddyDelahunty@BarMas Could be loads of things. There is more beer in the bottles? than Irish can. Are the Germans bottle conditioned (superior foam)? Bottles filled on counter pressure filler (very little foam at packaging vs craft canning needs good dense foam breakout at packaging to get low oxygen

We’re releasing some luscious barrel aged beers very soon. I can honestly say these blends are the finest we’ve produced at GBB. Cellared & blended to perfection by our team here. We can’t wait to share them with ye! Details tomorrow 🍾🍾🍾
@purrfectpint@foxatronic82 @TheUnderDogPub @FCSlattery@BrewDogdublinop@thebeernut@beerfoodtravel Much higher duty. 10 abv+ beers also cost waaaay more on grain. Most mash tuns are designed to brew mid strength beers. Brewers will use twice as much grain and usually do two of those mashes to yield a wort for 10abv or higher. Costly & inefficient. 4x yeast. B-aged adds 1000s
@irishbeersnob Galway area has lost the run of its self too. Mad stuff. So much better value and better courses if you are willing to drive 45 mins out of town.
