Cloudflare protects our website servers, not our video servers. They aren't able to protect our video servers.

As of 24 hours ago we finalized the adding of 50% video server capacity. Had an issue with configuring the private network with the OS we run, forcing us to link the servers using public bandwidth temporarily. But now the full 50% additional video capacity is in place.

Found bug causing iOS playback issue. Fixed!

Currently iOS playback is only supported via browser. An official iOS app is still under development.

Behind the scenes info regarding the automatic restart scheduling

Video ingest is restarted on Tuesday's, Thursday's, and Sunday's at 5am central

Video edges are restarted daily at 5:02am central and 5:05am central

This is automatic and lasts a couple seconds.

Connection timeout issue on the video ingest system has been resolved.

Looking into issue causing connection timeout when trying to connect to the video ingest system. Appears to be randomly rejecting connections yet is fine once connection is established.

Dev work has resumed. New transcoder system is nearly finished (allows different qualities like 720p, 360p, 144p) depending on transcode capacity. New chat interface is being wrapped up. Android app update with Follow and other features being worked on.

Gutting the video player (under the hood stuff) and giving it a much needed update and recode. That will be done in the next 12 hours and put into production.

Also discovered the core problem with the edge system: the video edge software. A replacement is being prototyped now.

We now have a dedicated video edge system for our free viewers, separate from @VaughnLive.

VIP Gold members still get the far better experience as far as buffering and stability goes due to the advanced bandwidth routing.
