“I’ll start January 1st”
1: Go nuts till January
2: Gain 5lbs of fat & 10lbs of water weight
3: Feel terrible about gaining 15lbs
4: Choose the latest fad diet
5: Lose water weight FAST & feel awesome
6: Get frustrated when progress slows
7: Fall off wagon. Rinse & Repeat
Work on these before you start making things any more complicated:
1. Eat less processed foods
2. Drink fewer calories
3. Eat protein, fruits, or veggies at every feeding
4. Move more
5. Prioritize sleep and your own mental health
Easter Weekend is coming... better wait to get started until Tuesday.
#NEWSFLASH there is always going to be another (insert holiday, birthday, excuse) coming.
You don’t need to “behave” perfectly in order to get started TODAY.
Stop putting off starting!
Think of your health and fitness on a continuum.
Life crazy? Ease up a bit. Things going amazing? Move forward.
Small steps still get us there eventually.
All or nothing doesn’t.
What are you ready, willing, and able to do right now?
This is fluid. Revisit it often.
If you feel like there is so much health, fitness, and weight loss information on the internet that you don’t know where to start...
Pick 3 things you think you could do a little bit better and start doing them today...
Don’t focus on anything else
Before you start a new plan (exercise or nutrition)... ask yourself, honestly “how long can I commit to this for?”
...
Figure out what it would need to look like for your answer to be: long-term or forever
You aren’t going to make or break your progress in a weekend. That mentality will often derail. Stick to your plan and get right back on track if you fall off for a day or two!

Mrs. Rodger and I mixed up all of our animal counters when cleaning up the classroom...😉Thankfully the Year 2 kiddos were able to help us sort them out by colour today. ☺️ LG: We are learning to sort. SC: I can sort things by colour ✅ @SCDSBey@scdsbmath@WCLittleES
We jumped right into our first Number Talk today! Ss had to decide which picture didn’t belong & justify their thinking. Removing the risk of being wrong + there being multiple answers creates confidence and engaged young learners 👌🏼 #numbertalk#wodb@WCLittleES#Mathroutines
📸Art Challenge: Word Photography📸 Create your name, a word, a single letter, a number or even a punctuation mark out of everyday items! Inspired by Abba Richman who takes photos of everyday objects that resemble letters of the alphabet. @boyne_river#wordart#artathome
Here are a few of my favourite books that can be used to kick off conversations about inclusion, equality, respect, and love. What books do you read to promote classroom discussion about these topics? @boyne_river#readalouds#pridemonth@SCDSBequity
