BREAKING: Pakistan declares a state of emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, suspending the government run by jailed ex-PM Imran Khan's party ahead of a march to free him

President Asif Ali Zardari approved emergency rule in the northwestern province on Sunday on the cabinet's recommendation, AP and Al Jazeera report, placing it under the governor's authority. PM Shehbaz Sharif's office cited the provincial government's "deliberate disengagement from the fight against terrorism." A PTI lawmaker says the province's chief minister, Sohail Afridi, was then arrested. Khan's supporters are marching on Islamabad, where shipping containers block the roads in.

Shane Gillis's 3rd time hosting SNL opened with a monologue Variety says bombed again, ending on the line "You're either gay or you're Hitler" to few laughs

Gillis, fired from SNL in 2019 just days after being hired, returned to host for the third time on Saturday night. Variety reports his monologue about the gym, his sisters and his receding hairline drew groans, and closed with a joke that he has "balded directly into an Adolf Hitler haircut" before it abruptly ended. Variety also says he slipped out an accidental F-bomb later in the show. His first monologue in 2024 was widely panned too, though sketches like "CouplaBeers" later went viral.
