We made a website!
On it you can find everything we post here, and every resource we link to will be accompanied by a short, accessible summary. We know there's a lot of homework to do when it comes to climate justice - consider this your cheat sheet! https://t.co/ZyNhbfzY66
Most conversations about pollution are about CO2.
Whilst this does contribute to climate change, when it comes to human health other pollutants are more of a concern - check out this infographic and go to https://t.co/pKlTTSqmnA to learn more!
Think you know a lot about air pollution? Prove it! Take this little quiz on air pollution and its impact on society and public health, and see if you learn anything new...

Cw: death
Up to 900 people in Birmingham die early every year thanks to air pollution.
Children in areas of high pollution are 4x more likely to have reduced lung function as adults.

Did you know that illegal levels of pollution are shortening lives?
This impact is more severe in Birmingham's poorest areas - and half of its children live in the 10% most deprived areas in the country.

Wow!
Whilst the goal should be reducing the amount of pollutants released in the first place, this looks like a fantastic way to naturally absorb some of the impact of car emissions.

The poorest 20% of neighbourhoods have higher air pollution levels than the least deprived. Those levels get even worse in ethnically diverse areas.
This means that air pollution is both a racial and class issue, and should be treated as such!

Air pollution causes severe health issues, and affects some populations more than others. Please watch this video, made by our lovely Mariam, to learn more!
@karmamum1@Britnatureguide Hi! Don't worry, we're more focused on the actions of big polluters than individual changes - in Birmingham, for example, non-recycled waste is incinerated, which is terrible for the environment AND public health. We want to protect the public, not exhaust them!😊

@KatherineVidler Thank you, Kat!
Recycling in Birmingham is not being done efficiently, and all other waste is put into an incinerator - bad for the environment, and bad for the health of locals. We're so happy to have your support!
