Canadaspis perfecta gathering to mate and moult in the Cambrian-age Burgess Shale.

In layer -350 of the Walcott Quarry (Phyllopod Bed), Canadaspis gathered in such great concentrations that one slab of shale, roughly 1 square metre in area, was covered in over 700 individuals.
