Another eight Swift boxes installed this morning as part of the Dyfi Biosphere Swift Project! We've now surpassed 160 boxes since the beginning of last year - a massive thanks to Elfyn Pugh for driving this project forward. Can't wait for these winged wonders to return now!!!
Great news for swifts!
Brecon Men's Shed handed over 9 swift boxes made from wood supplied by #GreenconnectionsPowys to Brecon Leisure Centre. It is hoped that a new colony will get established here.
It is great to connect groups to benefit wildlife. #TeamWilder@WTSWW
A fascinating day with @RSPBScience who fitted sat.tags to one bird in each of 5 pairs &ringed their 12 well-developed Swiftlets. In the sample group, 9 pairs have a minimum of 18 Swiftlets. 3 birds ringed as adults in 2018 & 2020 were controlled @Z4birding@NTBirdClub@AfSwifts

@Kate_Bradbury The second wave of younger swifts have arrived, third wave due July. The lack of swifts each year is worrying. we need to PRESERVE natural nest sites and ADD more nest boxes!
#CountryFocus on @BBCRadioWales this Sunday am includes giving #swifts a helping hand in Powys, including some of the work being carried out to help them in Brecon
Loving this 😍. It would be amazing if artists and other creative people in Brecon could get involved with the Brecon Swift Group to help raise awareness of Swifts in and around town @BreconBuzz
