So excited I finally had a chance to meet @AngelaMaiers (in real life) at the @pbcsdTechConf (1/6/20)! What an amazing person! #youmatter because your encouragement and ideas over the past 2 years have helped me to show my students that their interests and passions matter too.
An oldie but goodie for #InternationalDotDay, bringing our dots to life using the augmented reaity #QuiverApp. When the students saw their dots in AR, a few said, "I can color my dot better than that!" Just like Vashti. @peterhreynolds #MakeYourMark#dotday2019

I agree. I have offered to "find out together" which leads to a deeper interest in searching for the answer. Sometimes the students ask to look it up on their own as long as they can share their findings with the class.
When asked a question by a #student, don’t hesitate to say ‘I don’t know, let me get back with you’ or ‘let’s find out together.’
It’s so important to remember that not always knowing isn’t a sign of weakness.
This approach encourages questioning & deeper curiosity too.
@zeitz@AngelaMaiers So sad, I don't have a doctorate but I have the knowledge and experience. Google Certified Educator and a Tech Trailblazer in my county.
Loved the 2019 Tech Talk. Discussed the 4 C's in awesome breakout sessions. Broke out of the Escape Classroom on time. I got to meet Paul Reynolds of the Reynolds Center & he signed his books. Can't wait to implement what I learned. @pbcsdTechConf @EdTechDir @PBCSTEM@FablePaul
#HowDidYouCelebratePiDay?
We celebrated Pi Day by reading a NewsELA article about Pi Day and proved our answers to the questions. Then we found the circumference of circles. And even sang (or rather read) the Pi Song. #PiDay#HappyPiDay
Yeah! So proud of my SECME students. The youngest of the group is determined to do it better next year. I love when a student sets their mind to learn and grow.
Minions (millions) of books, so little time! A fun way to keep track of what the students are reading. They each made their own minion and when they start a new book, they switch out what their minion is reading. #readingrocks#notech#lovetoread@curciogreaves
