IMPORTANT:
A clarification on the reported U.S.-Iran agreement.
Earlier reports made it sound as though a final peace deal had already been reached & that Friday’s signing ceremony was largely a formality.
That is not what Iranian officials are now describing.
According to Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi, what has been finalized is a memorandum of understanding & framework for ending military operations, lifting the blockade & opening the way for further negotiations.
A formal signing is expected on Friday.
However, a further 60-day negotiating process would then follow, covering sanctions, the nuclear file, economic reconstruction, implementation mechanisms & verification of commitments.
Iranian officials also stress that entry into those negotiations is conditional on the United States first implementing its commitments regarding the end of the war, lifting the siege & releasing assets.
In short, this appears less like a final settlement & more like a framework designed to stop the fighting & create the conditions for a broader agreement.
The immediate question remains the same:
Can Trump deliver Israel?
Because if military operations are indeed meant to end on all fronts, including Lebanon, then Lebanon may provide the first real test of whether this understanding holds in practice.
A word of caution, however. We have heard talk of agreements, imminent agreements, understandings & breakthroughs before. Friday is still a long way away in military terms, & the road beyond it is longer still.
Much can happen between now & then. There are many stages yet to navigate & no shortage of actors capable of derailing the process.
Celebrations may be premature.

Welcome to Israel: Where Every Retaliation Has a Retaliation
And in the news today:
Israel Announces Another Retaliation for a Previous Retaliation
Israel retaliated against Iran.
Which was retaliation for Israel's retaliation against Hezbollah.
Which was retaliation for Israel's retaliation against Iran.
Which was retaliation for Iran's retaliation against Israel.
Which was retaliation for the Houthis' retaliation against Israel.
Which was retaliation for Israel's retaliation against Hamas.
Which was retaliation for Hamas's retaliation against Israel.
Which was retaliation for October 7.
Which was retaliation for the occupation of Gaza.
Which was retaliation for Hamas kidnapping Israelis.
Which was retaliation for Israeli bombings.
Which was retaliation for suicide bombings.
...but we forgot what that was in retaliation for.
Welcome to “The State of Retaliation” — a.k.a. “The State of Israel.”
Trump wasted billions of dollars, murdered dozens of American soldiers, and raised food and fuel prices for everyone, just to open a Strait that was open before he started the war and start nuclear talks that already existed before he tore them up…
ANOTHER IRAN WIN
🇮🇷🇺🇸 Trump Concedes the One Thing He Swore He Never Would: Iran Keeps URANIUM ENRICHMENT
After months of "WE WILL NOT ALLOW ANY ENRICHMENT," Trump told the New York Times that Iran will stay forever limited to low-level enrichment for civilian use. The dismantlement demand is dead.
This is EXACTLY what Iran wanted.
He drew his red line in all caps, then walked across it. Iran never moved.
If Trump and Netanyahu implement the deal, they lose. If they do not implement the deal, they lose. If they don't implement the deal, the global economy goes over the cliff.

Prof Mirandi just confirmed this story: Iran was readying missiles to launch against Israel in response for Israel’s attack against Hezbollah in Beirut. That got Trump to make the final concessions, namely guaranteeing Israel will end its war in Lebanon.
I am HIGHLY skeptical that will last, as Netanyahu would likely a political rebellion in his own camp if he obeyed Trump and abruptly ended the fighting against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Most likely case is that the fragile almost-ceasefire scheduled for Friday is derailed before ink is put to paper.
BREAKING: Iran says the US has agreed to pay $300 billion in reconstruction funds directly to Iran as part of the deal Pakistan announced, alongside the release of $24 billion in frozen funds with $12 billion released before negotiations even start, per Mehr News.
This directly contradicts Trump's & Vance's claim that no funds will be transferred to Iran at all.
If Trump denies this is true, there never was a deal. If Trump confirms, the US has fully capitulated to Iran's demands.
🇮🇷 NEW: Iranian media have published the full text of a statement from the Secretariat of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Iran’s highest security body, announcing the finalization of a memorandum of understanding with the United States to end the war.
🔸The statement from the body says the text of the agreement, described as the product of months of “difficult and intensive negotiations” was finalized on the evening of June 14.
🔸It says “the war and military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon,” will end immediately and permanently beginning tonight, and that “the naval blockade against Iran will be lifted immediately and in full.”
🔸According to the statement, the memorandum will be formally signed on Friday, June 19, while negotiations on a final agreement will only begin after “the other side” has fulfilled its commitments under the MOU.
🔸The statement also thanks Pakistan and Qatar for their mediation efforts and describes the agreement as having been reached under a resolution of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
🚨 ISRAELI SETTLERS BURN PALESTINIAN VILLAGES IN REVENGE FOR TRUMP-IRAN PEACE DEAL.
Israeli settlers just torched multiple villages in the West Bank.
This is how they act when diplomacy and peace threatens their blood-thirst wars.
💢 Iranian officials are portraying Israel’s Sunday escalation in Lebanon as the trigger that led Washington to accept several of Tehran’s key conditions for a U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding, claiming that the threat of a wider regional war and a direct Iranian response shifted the negotiations in Iran’s favor.
🔸Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said some of Tehran’s proposed revisions to the text were accepted after developments in Lebanon, and warnings from Iran’s armed forces “helped move the negotiations forward,” saying the military pressure “helped finalize the text” and resolve outstanding issues. He also said Iran refused to approve the memorandum until “all of our final points and demands” had been incorporated.
🔸 Vice President JD Vance said that U.S. officials aggressively intervened to stop a major Iranian missile retaliation against Israel today. Speaking to Fox News, Vance said that after the Israeli military launched airstrikes in Beirut, intelligence indicated Iran was heavily preparing a massive missile strike against Israeli targets. Through intense, last-minute diplomatic communications during the finalization of the U.S.-Iran MOU, American negotiators successfully secured explicit assurances from Tehran that they would hold back their military response.
🔸Separately, the New York Times, citing three Iranian officials, reported that Tehran had prepared but ultimately called off a planned retaliatory strike on Israel after President Trump, through intermediaries, urged restraint, with Iranian officials believing an escalation could derail a peace agreement that was close to completion.
🔸The claims have been echoed across multiple Iranian news sources. Fars news agency reported that after the Israeli strike on Beirut’s Dahiyeh, Iran prepared a retaliatory attack on Israel, but returned to the talks after receiving last-minute concessions from President Trump through mediators, including commitments related to preserving Lebanon’s territorial integrity, an Israeli withdrawal from the Lebanese border area, and the immediate lifting of the naval blockade.
🔸Entekhab, citing an informed source, separately reported that following warnings from Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Tehran’s insistence on its “red lines,” the U.S. agreed to lift the blockade immediately rather than phasing it out over 30 days.
🇮🇷 Iranian state-affiliated Mehr News says the draft U.S.-Iran memorandum includes several major economic concessions from the US, including certain steps to be taken before final negotiations begin on Friday. They include:
🔸Washington would suspend sanctions on Iranian oil and petrochemical exports and restore “full access of Iran to its financial resources”
🔸The draft separately calls for the release of $24 billion in blocked Iranian funds during a 60-day negotiating period, with $12 billion to be transferred before final talks start on Friday
🔸Mehr says the agreement would also require the U.S. and its allies to present an economic reconstruction plan for Iran worth at least $300 billion.
Drop Site has not independently confirmed these details, and Iran and US have not published the final text of the MOU.
If Netanyahu does not abide by the agreement, there will be no implementation and the world will know who and which entity, to blame for the imminent economic catastrophe.
⚠️ Israel is reportedly saying it is not bound by the Lebanese component of the agreement, is refusing to commit to withdrawal, & is still carrying out strikes around Nabatiyeh & Kfar Roummane as we speak.
So before anyone starts celebrating “peace,” perhaps wait & see what happens on the ground.
Friday is not the finish line.
It is the beginning of the test.
Netanyahu's stupidity backfired. This is a historic retreat by the evil empire. Any violation of the agreement will be met with a heavy-handed response by Iran and the Axis of Resistance.
Yesterday, Israel opened fire on two civilians on the Salah Eddin St. east of Der el-Balah, killing a child and critically injuring his father.
Immediately, Israel abducted the body of the child and the his bleeding father.
A few minutes ago, israel released the body of the child and his wounded father.
Such “a moral army.” They released the body of a child after killing him and holding his body hostage for a few hours.
The child’s name was Rayyan Abu al-Ajin.
