Snowing all day = Sight word “snowball” fight ❄️
My kiddos loved writing a sight word on a paper, crumpling it into a ball, throwing it at a friend, and reading the sight word to a peer! #Kindergarten
“Mrs. Cox can I take a picture and show mom and dad all four puzzles we completed before we clean them up?!” Seesaw is one of my favorite tools! My kiddos are at the point this year if they have something to share they can record or take a picture independently! #ED527#Kinder
@Educ8thefuture1@Educ8thefuture1 Yes this is very true! I do have to say though, I have noticed students technology abilities have increased! Specially when learning about new apps on the iPads! #ed527
A2: This is the first time I have heard of the terminology “loose parts play!” Although I was unaware of the terminology my students partake in loose parts play each and everyday!Within my room we have a wide variety of blocks, legos, stem items, math links, etc #InnovatingPlay
Loose parts allow for "outside the box" thinking. Kids naturally do this. It gives children the opportunity to use imaginative and creative play in so many ways.

@InnovatingPlay Yes! The change through the year is so exciting! One of my favorite things is the change in volume depending on materials/toys the kiddos are interacting with!
A1: The ideal play time to me involves my students interacting with peers with several hands-on materials or toys independently! Some students will play with the same tools/toys the whole time and others will switch between various activities! #InnovatingPlay
A3: I believe loose parts play allows for students to be creative! The materials don’t restrict the students to a certain task rather the materials allow the students to think and learn in creative ways! #InnovatingPlay
