Out of Cuba now otw home and finally have access to the internet
I’m having a hard time putting into words the thoughts I have on my experience there the past couple days. The level of cruelty that the oil blockade the US imposes on the day-to-day lives of everyday Cubans cannot be overstated. Everyday conveniences and essential services that we take for granted are completely non-existent. Entire systems, that were already dilapidated by decades of sanctions and restrictions from participating globally, start to break down exponentially when you remove fuel from the equation.
The innovation required to accomplish the most basic tasks is astounding. People existing at night in complete darkness from the blackouts, just trying their best to lead normal lives in spite of the lack of power.
Yet every Cuban person I met was extremely kind, patient, and welcoming. The resilience the people of the island have is extremely admirable and heartbreaking to witness.
Cuba is a beautiful place with amazing people and insane potential. What the US has done to that island is shameful and nothing short of inhumane
Israel's renewed bombing is only half the problem. Heavy winds and rain have battered the tent city and the kids are very feverish with a disease that's been spreading.
Anything you can chuck in helps Ahmed keep affording food, medicine and electricity!

I've long given her the benefit of the doubt, because her work has taught me things, because I think she's interesting and funny, and because she's a trans woman getting dogpiled on the internet. This, and that awful Palestine post really are inexcusable, though.
"The Great Satan" has tons of meaning and history; To dismiss it as childish after the sheer amount of harm the US has caused really shows how little Ms. Wynn cares. The phrase originates from its most affected victims, this smug attitude from an American is really quite horrible
Her work shows that she can think this sort of thing through (not that it's rocket science), that she should know better. This is willful ignorant cruelty to come across as cool and aloof on the irony website.
@RunquistKarsten Oppenheimer is shot and edited like an over-the-top charicaturesque marvel action movie complete with an epic reveal for blorbo Einstein, and I genuinely don't understand how anyone can take it seriously (although I admit Murphy's performance is great)
@fesshole The wank sock is an utterly depraved invention that could only be conceived of by a mind so far removed from being at one with the self that it may as well be considered an external torturer, playing sick games with a helpless subject
