Catholics, the Saints and the Blessed. Let's talk about this.
Everyone who was holy or lived a righteous life in the bible is considered a saint, so why does the Roman Catholic require "four steps" for someone who is already considered holy to be called a saint? And why is there a differentiation between the status, one is regional and the other global?
Now, I have seen people praying to the saints, asking them to intercede, but doesn't the bible state that Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and Mankind, as stated in 1 Timothy 2 vs 5. So why pray to the saints or put them in that high pedestal, especially people who aren't biblical references.
On the part of making statues of these saints in the church, I also think that this goes against one of the Ten Commandments which is prohibits this. Because I have seen people bowing subtly down to the saints while honoring them. No offense.
