So I have to disagree because this is a very bad comparison. If you are going to compare the two, then details and context matters.

So let’s start with the Colorado Baker.

Yes, he did refuse to do a customer order for an LGBT couple under his religious belief, BUT he did offer to sell them other goods like birthday cakes, cookies brownies, etc etc…

That was the central focus of the case and why the State Supreme Court ended up ruling in his favor.

In @MiiaTzu particular case…

These same artists that are rejecting her commission are also demanding people stop using AI and commission artists instead, while also actively trying to cancel and suspend any accounts that have use AI and then turn around the REJECT commissions from the people that they are demanding they commission for artists!

It’s not about the rejection of commissions. It’s no matter what you do, you can’t please these people because all they care about is POWER over people. It’s about CONTROLLING who is and isn’t allowed to have art. It’s about OSTRACIZING anyone who has stepped out of line.

It’s nothing but grifting for POWER, CONTROL and CANCELING at its finest.

If you wanted to accurately compare the two then here is how you need to look at it.

It would be like the commissioner asking an artist to draw porn of a character and the artist refusing because the artist doesn’t draw porn, but instead offers to draw something else.

The artist can do what they want, it’s their right, but @MiiaTzu is correct and any artist(s) that continue to do this is only making more people flock to AI and despise self-righteous artists more.

This is exactly the issue with a lot of discourse nowadays.

The ones who swear up and down they're the "good guys" will do anything in their power to bring down and even destroy the lives of those who have views they disagree with

Yet, the very same people they're against? All we do is speak our opinion. We criticize.

We don't try to deplatform people.
We don't dox them.
We don't purposefully spread misinformation about them.
We don't wish death upon them.
We don't contact their jobs to try and get them fired.
We don't try to get them banned from conventions.

Man as an artist, I feel the urge to apologize for the knuckleheads that are so uptight about AI art.
I'm old enough to have gone through the whole, "Digital art isn't art" phaze when Photoshop and other digital art programs hit the scene. And I see this in the same way.
Go on then and hand draw out and ink every frame of the video you want to create and we'll see you in about 10 years from now once it's finished. Lmao 😂

Yeah I mean AI is a great tool to eliminate tedious parts of the job. Instead of spending all this time going back and forth, they came with a reference sheet. That should make the commission 10x easier and eliminate a bunch of wasted time. Time is money, and the artist could move on to their next commission faster. Make the tool work for you, yaknow?

Hiya~

I know I've been gone for a bit but I had to take a step back. I hate to say this but my mental health has not gotten to the point I need it to be.

The past 8 or so years, I didn't really do much outside of content creation. I never traveled to places I wanted to go, stopped hanging out with friends as much, and didn't make memories I wanted to have. Overall, I didn't live.

The reason why was because initially my work was used as a distraction from everything else. Unfortunately, I was living in an extremely abusive environment but YT was a place where I could express myself safely.

Then, my channel exploded and I was able to actually live off of it. Because of that I was able to leave and start a new life. I thought I could finally be happy, not realizing I needed to heal first.

But despite that, I prioritized my work before anything. I wanted to be consistent because I felt like if I didn't keep up with everyone; then I wasn't good enough.

I realize now more than ever, this was me spiraling. I neglected my mental health so much, that it began to affect my physical well-being. Causing extreme anxiety and heart problems.. which is a deadly combo (and runs in the family, FUCK!)

This was my sign to just stop. I allowed myself to be what I feared most because as much as I love what I do, I need to love myself more.

During this time away, I did a few things I've always wanted! I started my professional VA account (@AerelisVA), I began to learn how to sing AND am currently re-learning a language. Of course, I am going out more and scheduled specialized therapy.

Sorry for the rants but I felt the need to explain whats been going on since I kinda went MIA out of nowhere again. I can't say I'm doing better but I am taking the right step forward.

I'm gonna be honest even just typing this out is terrifying and causing my anxiety to spike. But I know at the end of the day, I'll be okay.

Thank you for your love, I read every comment and the kindness you shown me has brought me out of some dark places. I'm going to get better so I can be the best froggie tomboy ever >:P
