Brant County OPP - Farming Equipment on Local and Rural Roads

Farmers are well into planting season. Farm machinery moves at slower speeds and may be wider than a regular vehicle. When encountering this equipment, please be patient, allow extra space, and pass only when it is safe and legal to do so.

Reminder:
Slow down and remain alert, especially on rural roads
Watch for turn signals and hand signals from farm operators
Avoid following too closely, as visibility ahead may be limited

Farmers play an essential role in our community, and many are working long hours during this busy season. A little patience and courtesy go a long way in helping keep everyone safe.

The Brant County OPP thanks motorists and farm operators for working together to share the road safely.

Les agriculteurs sont en pleine saison des semis. Les machines agricoles circulent à des vitesses réduites et peuvent être plus larges qu’un véhicule ordinaire. Lorsque vous croisez ce type de matériel, veuillez faire preuve de patience, laisser suffisamment d’espace et ne dépasser que lorsque cela est sécuritaire et autorisé par la loi.

Rappel :

Ralentissez et restez vigilant, en particulier sur les routes rurales
Soyez attentif aux clignotants et aux signaux manuels des conducteurs de
achines agricoles
Évitez de suivre de trop près, car la visibilité vers l'avant peut être réduite

Les agriculteurs jouent un rôle essentiel dans notre communauté, et bon nombre d'entre eux travaillent de longues heures pendant cette saison chargée. Un peu de patience et de courtoisie contribuent grandement à assurer la sécurité de tous.
