Prince William and Princess Catherine are on a break with their children so as per the usual cycle of news, the press has started their attacks on William and their focus is his duchy of Cornwall🫠
King Charles was Duke of Cornwall for over 50 years. the press did not care to interview his tenants about their feelings on him, nor did they care are about scrutinizing the projects on his duchy or sale of farms👌🏽
Now that Prince William has inherited the duchy from his father, suddenly the press has a vested interest on reported every “happenings” on the duchy: they care about the tenants mental health, their opinion especially the ones of people who disagree with his plans, their living conditions, anything that they can report “negatively” on the duchy.
It is almost as if….the press was “conveniently” looking the other way for 50 years and now that their target is in position, they are focusing their slanted coverage to attack him.
It was in June 2023, a year after becoming Duke of Cornwall, that prince William launched Homewards, a five-year project seeking to create a model working with 6 pilot locations to end homelessness in Britain. The project was dedicated to his late mother Diana who he credited for introducing him to Homeless.🔥
3 years into the project, William has been keeping his word and is in delivery mode:
This week, Plans for the initial phase of a 2,500-home development on Kent farmland have been granted approval marking a significant step forward for the Homewards project.
The proposals were submitted since 2024 to Swale Borough Council for a new "garden" neighbourhood, South East Faversham, on the town’s periphery and have finally been approved in 2026. Construction is anticipated to commence in 2027 according to the Duchy of Cornwall👌🏽
The neighbourhood plans envision a total of 2,500 homes, with over 890 designated as "affordable" – a mix of shared ownership, social rent, and affordable rent.
The wider scheme also includes a new primary school, a health centre, enhanced transport links for buses, cycling, and walking, and renewable energy solutions.
Now when reporting on this success for William, The British press, of course focused on the opposition to report it negatively. There are oppositions to any construction projects on earth, however the benefits, providing affordable social housing, are seen as outweighing the cons, traffic, less green space, etc…💁🏽
Let me point out the targeted Hypocrisy of the British press: The Duchy of Cornwall has a history of developing housing projects, including Poundbury in Dorset and Nansledan in Cornwall. Those housing were built under KC and they were built FOR PROFIT. Yet, the press did it care about what the tenants were thinking, at the time. They were given no voice to complain. Because it was Charles building them🔥
Now that William is building a neihborhood FOR SOCIAL HOUSING, now the press wants to hear about opponents and criticise the move. Why? Because William is their target.
Following the approval, Sam Kirkness, executive director for development at the Duchy of Cornwall, said:
"The Duchy of Cornwall has a fantastic track record of creating successful neighbourhoods that knit seamlessly into existing towns. We are using this experience to design a new neighbourhood for Faversham that would be among the most sustainable and environmentally friendly in the UK."
That is why William shutdown criticism and keeps his head down to continue to move successfully forward. The British press have a personal bone to pick with him and they will slant coverage, misreport or straight up lie to find a way to attack and tarnish this man, no matter the good he does snd the success he always reach. So complaints noted, but onward and forward with Homewards..😎
