Council denied entry at RAF Scampton

Home Office accelerates work on ILLEGAL MIGRANT CAMP

It goes against the district council's Temporary Stop Notice

The Home Office seem to be rushing ahead with it's efforts to transform RAF Scampton into a migrant camp, despite the district council issuing a Temporary Stop Notice over heritage fears

The council issued the halt notice under section 171E of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 last Friday

In the last few days, the Home Office has installed portacabins on the site

Conservation and Enforcement Officers from the district council were Scheduled to perform an inspection today, but were denied entry

Contractors were seen entering the premises on Sunday

As a result of the refusal by the Home Office to allow the council to access the site, they cannot be certain if the Home Office are adhering to the requirements of the TSN

The council will continue to request permission to carry out this urgent site inspection, whilst urging the Home Office to adhere to the conditions in the TSN and to respond with appropriate information on site activity as soon as possible
