@NZAllison This is happening in NZ because our present Government wants a two tier health system. The wealthy pay for private insurance and are treated promptly. The rest of the population have to wait. To see NZ going the American way is sad and very frightening.
@Wardr08e@SimeonBrownMP People like me? I’ve never taken a benefit- have our own $2m house and good savings. Our grandchildren are privately educated meaning they are not a burden to the taxpayer. NZ needs its tax system overhauled so everyone pays their fair share that is why I support CGT.
@Wardr08e@SimeonBrownMP Fair means everyone paying what they owe and most people do. It is the $9b in unpaid taxes by the super wealthy- hiding behind trusts that is unfair.
@SimeonBrownMP Not from me. We were so fortunate NZ first put Labour into Government. I dread to think the number of Covid deaths if your lot were in power during the Pandemic.
@aniobrien Wrong /it’s the elite wealthy and they might be lovely people but they could pay a lot more tax and never feel it -we need to redistribute wealth for a society where people aren’t living in cars with their children
@SimeonBrownMP Well I hope you are right. My husband’s doctor has sent a referral letter to the skin specialist my husband needs to see. I wonder what the wait time will be. Or will we be forced to go privately.
I’m concerned about the number of private hospitals being built in Auckland.
@SimeonBrownMP That is a good move. What a wonderful incentive by Labour when they introduced Kiwi Saver. Michael Cullen was a far sighted Politician. Sad that National removed the kick start programme in 2015. I guess it must be election year.
