Like a lot of people, I'm deeply excited about what the lovely folks at Larian accomplished with Baldur's Gate 3, but I want to gently, pre-emptively push back against players taking that excitement and using it to apply criticism or a "raised standard" to RPGs going forward
1/10
@BWHolland BoBF is tragically bad; but two episodes (5&6) are fantastic; and are almost exclusively about Din Djarin. Skip all but those two, and you will be completely on-track. Maybe watch the final ep too; which also features him, but it is very bad too.
@nullspeak Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has given me many laughs. It’s a whacky action shooter; that also manages to be a timely story about friendship and connections between people, AND an entertaining critique of D&D/Roleplaying culture.

@dh4onethingonly This is literally the exact argument that gave birth to the parody religion pastafarianism; and “worship” of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
Vale, #annerice , thanks for all of your incredible stories. Best wishes to all of her family, and huge love to all of my fellow fans.

yo #gameaudio#composer people, what's your go-to way to showcase reactive music in linear mediums (as you would usually be restricted to for a reel or post on streaming)? especially when you can only use audio?
tfw it's already day 3 of #ausggj and this is my first tweet about it
anyway been working on music for 3 amazing projects but still got a day of sound design ahead (after a hopefully good sleep) - keen to see how everything turns out!
#AusGGJ day two, evening. Just got a perfect soundtrack loop from the incredibly talented @winged_souls who nailed our complicated brief in one try. Feeling pumped!
Global Game Jam day 2: Unity versions not syncing, GitHub refuses to authenticate my login, one teammate is injured, another is homeless, and in the sky; the Red Eye watches with fury. All going to plan.
@CyberpunkGame had a flawed launch and needs much more work to play as it should. But the writing is absolutely superb. I’ve laughed out loud, and cried genuine tears more than once. It’s been a long time since a game had such an emotional impact. Kudos to your writers.
